Ride of Love Fundraising

2015 Ride of Love

A Tuscaloosa teen is doing something that has never been done by anyone his age. Max French is a freshman at Northridge High School and is the youngest to ever participate in Ride of Love since its start in 2001.

The Ride of Love is one of Camp Smile-A-Mile's largest annual fundraisers. It is certainly one of the most impactful. The purpose of the ride is to raise awareness and funding for Camp Smile-A-Mile's year round programming.

The registration fee is $25. Riders must raise $250.

The average amount raiser per cyclist each year is $2,000! Once you starting telling people about Camp Smile-A-Mile and what you are doing to raise funding, people are usually more than happy to support your effort!

Tips for asking:

1. Familiarize yourself with Camp Smile-A-Mile's programming and the way it impacts campers and their families.

2. Set a fundraising goal for yourself.

3. Decide who you want to approach and how you should approach them...i.e. letter, email, phone call, Facebook, in person... Direct people to Camp Smile-A-Mile's website or Facebook page. If you need any help with this, please contact Savannah Lanier at savannah.lanier@campsam.org

People may donate online, check or cash online.

Please make checks payable to Camp Smile-A-Mile. Donors may send them to the Camp Smile-A-Mile office with your name included in the subject line.
