Since the beginning of the bike ride in 2001, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriffs Department has provided The Ride of Love with an escort the entire way. The Ride of Love is escorted by two motorcycles from the Sheriff’s department, driving one is Sheriff Ted Sexton and a vehicle in the rear of the motorcade. Deputies assisting him include: Jason Powell (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008), Lance Willis (2004), Billy Crowell(2004, 2005, 2006, 2007), Pam Kirsch (2001, 2002), John Mills (2006, 2007) Quincy (2008)and Darren Evans-Young (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008). This ride would not be possible without their help due to the route of the ride.

David Crawford, at Maxx Mailing Service, has graciously mailed out all of the letters requesting support for Stephanie and David. This is a very generous donation to the ride due to the volume of mail that has to be delivered. David Crawford takes care of all of the small mailing details so that Stephanie and David do not have to worry about anything. Thank you David!
