$25 Entry Fee and Riders must raise at least $250
$250.00 is the cost to send one child to Camp SAM
The average amount raised per ROL cyclist each year is close to $2,000!

The Ride of Love has 2 purposes:
1. To increase the awareness about Camp Smile-A-Mile and
2. To raise money for Camp Smile-A-Mile
How to Ask:
Each cyclist will receive a packet of information and a DVD once you sign up for the ROL. The DVD is an excellent tool to share with others.
1. Set a goal for the amount you wish to raise.
2. Think of people who would support you in the Ride of Love. List them with their contact information.
3. Write a letter, flier, or send an email telling why you are riding. Email www.campsam.org/donations.asp for immediate donations. (Instructions below) Once you start telling people that you are riding 150 miles in one day for children with cancer you’ll see the impact by their response.
4. Send out your communication at least one month before the ROL.
5. Include specifics about donations and tell each donor they must send you their donation at least 1 week prior to the ride.
Donation Options:
1. Checks payable to Camp Smile-A-Mile in c/o Ride of Love
2. Cash donation. Record all contact information for tax deduction purposes.
3. Online donation; Camp Smile-A-Mile www.campsam.org/donations.asp
a. Click on Ride of Love tab
b. Place the rider's name in the comment box so riders will recieve credit.
When you recieve donations, place them in an envelope to turn in either just before or on the day of the ride. Totals are needed a few days before the ride since we will be presenting a ceremonial check to Camp Smile-A-Mile upon our arrival to the campsite.
Please don’t delay in getting your money in since we want to give the check to Camp SAM for the highest amount possible.
If you have questions, ideas, or need a copy of one of a fundraising letter please don’t hesitate to call the camp office.
Each cyclist must send a $25 registration fee with their registration form and turn in money (minimum of $250) on or by the day of the ROL. If you haven’t yet received your minimum donation of $250 on the day of the ride but it is coming, you will need to pay the difference to participate in the ride. You will find your fundraising efforts will be easy once you tell people what and for whom you are riding and they will be generous.
